
Faith Joye is a dancer and choreographer from Florence, South Carolina. She began her formal dance training at age eleven at Dancin’ on Main in Lake City, South Carolina, studying ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip-hop and gymnastics. She continued her education at Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. While at Dean, she expanded her training in modern and other movement forms, choreographed work for the student body, and performed as a member of the college’s tap team, Loose Screws. Following graduation, Faith completed Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester in New York City, culminating in a performance at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She has studied and performed works by choreographers including Carla Maxwell, Robert Battle, Maleek Washington, and Laura Bennett. Faith currently focuses on modern and contemporary performance and choreography, with training in commercial styles. Alongside her performance career, she holds a strong passion for academics and dance education.
